Managing Your Health Condition - Minnesota cancer patients now have a "one-stop shop" to search for local cancer resources with the launch of Minnesota Cancer Resources. The first Web site to offer a deep database of Minnesota resources, it aims to connect cancer patients and health care providers with local resources in their community. - The National Cancer Institute (NCI) provides comprehensive resources and information on cancer topics such as cancer screening, treatment, statistics, clinical trials, and coping with cancer. - The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a national health organization that conducts research, provides accurate and up-to-date information on cancer, and advocates for patients and families affected by cancer. - The National Cancer Institute's Cancer Information Service (CIS) provides up-to-date and accurate cancer information to patients, their families, the public, and health professionals. - The Sage Screening Program offers FREE comprehensive breast and cervical cancer screening for Minnesota women. Contact Sage at 1-888-643-2584 to find participating clinics and determine eligibility. - The Minnesota Cancer Surveillance System (MCSS) is the state's cancer registry. It aims to monitor cancer occurrences and educate the public and health care providers. - The National Cancer Institute has designated the University of Minnesota as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. This site links patients, providers and others to information and resources on cancer. - The National Cancer Institute has designated the Mayo Clinic as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. This site links patients and families with information on cancer education, clinical trials, patient care, and living with cancer. - The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) connects patients and health care providers with information on specific types of cancer.
