Managing Your Health Condition - The American Diabetes Association is the nation's leading nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information and advocacy. Their website is full of information about diabetes, how to prevent it and how to avoid complications. Available in Spanish. - Children with Diabetes is an on-line community for kids, families and adults with diabetes. The website helps kids and their families learn about diabetes and meet other people with the disease. - The D5 was created to make it easier for people with diabetes and their health care providers to work together to set and achieve goals to better manage their diabetes. This web site focuses on five treatment goals – called the D5- for living well with diabetes. You can also compare your clinic to others in Minnesota to see how they rate on providing optimal diabetes care. - JDRF was founded by parents of children with type 1 (juvenile) diabetes. Turn here for information about diabetes and find one-to-one support and practical suggestions from JDRF volunteers. Check out JDRF Kids Online for pen pals, polls, kids' art and stories, and info about dealing with diabetes day-to-day.- This site is a service provided by the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health. It contains news, reports, and information on diabetes with links to many additional sites. - Links to resources for people with diabetes, those at risk, health professionals, policy makers and the media.
